This is my first Papertrey Ink Blog Hop and I'm really excited to hop around all of the other blogs that are particpating and seeing what I know are going to be some fab creations. Here is the challenge for this month:
March Blog HopBackground building sets have rapidly become one of Papertrey's signature traits. For this month's Blog Hop, we want to see all of your very best backgrounds. They can be multi-colored or monochromatic. Simple or elegantly detailed. They can be created with a set originated for that purpose or a reinvention of images that were not. Be sure to include a separate photo of your completed background BEFORE you add it to your project so we can see it in all its glory
I started with Beautiful Blooms for my background as you can see here.

I just love this flower, it's my favorite in the whole set. I just randomly stamped the image all over the paper.I made two simple cards with that background.
I thought I was done but last night those yummy Damask stamps starting calling my name and here is what I came up.

Just love this set but I need A LOT of practice making backgrounds.
Here's a little show of the inside where I also lined it with a strip of the dp paper.
Supplies: Beautiful Blooms stamps, cardstock Spring Rain ~ PTI, Cuttlebug Swiss Dot Embossing Folder, Corner Rounder for scallop edge, ribbon - Michaels
Damask Designs stamps, cardstock - Pure Poppy, True Black & Summer Sunrise, ribbon - Pure Poppy ~ PTI, ink - True Black ~PTI, Yellow Ochre & Warm Red ~ ColorBox Fluid Chalk
Thanks so much for dropping by!
